Most people her age would be content to lead a cosy, leisurely life, but for Anurupa Mukherji, well into her early eighties, it’s as if the journey has just begun. As the head of the Tripura Adibashi Mahila Samity, a leading ngo engaged in women’s welfare in the backward state of Tripura, Mukherji’s daily routine would tire out a much younger person. But not the grand old lady, known all over the state simply as Anura Khuri (aunt).
